man walking near waterYou don’t have to be a die-hard CrossFitter or marathon runner to enjoy excellent health. Here are some simple health-promoting actions to incorporate into your lifestyle.

Walk More

It’s easy, free, and great for you! The good news about walking is that it yields great physical and mental health benefits. It’s also a low-impact form of exercise that’s appropriate for people of all ages. Whether you’re taking an after-dinner walk around your neighborhood or parking far from the building where you work, brisk walking can keep weight off and keep your heart healthy.

Get to Bed by 10

We recommend you get 8-9 hours of sleep, because most healing occurs when you sleep due to the production of the human growth hormone (HGH), which regenerates and repairs your body. Did you know that the more sleep you get between 10 p.m. and midnight, the more healing hormone you produce?

One of the best ways to fall asleep by 10 p.m. is to turn off all electronics an hour before you go to bed. So instead of watching TV or spending time on your digital devices, consider reading or journaling.
